It is time not to let go unchallenged, the opinions of lone rangers, self appointed envoys, and spokespersons for Kenya East African Integration Committee. The author identified as Mr. Boniface Ngahu, has upped the ante on the East African Integration issue, using the same old, usual chest thumbing tactics of ridicule, and intimidation to those that do not follow their hymn of we are the better Country. He was unconscious of the ramifications of his self defeating effort to intimidate his Tanzanians counterparts into the EA union.

Mr. Boniface Ngahu, lacks a voice of reason in his argument. He seems to be everywhere talking about everything. He lacks a premise to base his entire weak and fabricated hypothesis. He is more of fanatical than factual in his application of reasonable analogy, and that limits my ability to dissect his flawed logic. Interestingly, I found arrogance, egoistic, biasness, ignorance, crude language, self glorification and cheap manipulation tactics that have been employed time and again by these self appointed high priests of East African Integration.

His extraneous bragging tirade on educated Kenyans and their athletes, Migingo dispute and so forth are not worth our response. That is for Kenyans to deal with. We are here to deal with weighty issues, and one of the central issues is immigration. Like Kenyans, Tanzanians are trying to protect their economic interests by going it slow. With the increase of graduates from both local and foreign higher learning institutions, Tanzania has no option but fill the available positions with domestic talents, which is a common practice all over the world to control unemployment, especially at these tough economic times.

These are basic, and natural economic laws Tanzania will never ignore
Mr. Ngahu quoted as unfair, the Tanzania’s newly enacted immigration laws, yet Kenyan laws are the most stringent and discriminative. You cannot get a work permit in Kenya unless you are a 35 years or older and must be earning at least 24,000 US dollars. How many Tanzanians are going to qualify under this new law? Talking morals! He must not be aware on the number of unqualified, heavy accented Kenyans in Tanzania that are nursery school teachers, store clerks, bar attendants, supermarket cashiers, and merchants in Tanzania. Most without work permits and freely roaming the country, hope he can tell us in equal terms the number of Tanzanians in Kenya, doing the same kind of work!

This sort of obsession with Tanzanian affairs is getting out of hand. What is it that, a country you hate so much, is the country you are pestering so much to share a bed with?  Mr. Ngahu is more focused at the speck of sawdust in my eye, and pay no attention to the plunk in his own. Put your house in order first. Sort out your problems; deal with your hatred towards one another. Deal with you nepotism, land problems, chronic tribalism and arrogance, before you can come back into the bilateral and even trilateral negotiation’s table Mr. Moral police!

Mr. Ngahu is a disgrace to the marketing professionals’ community; he has failed the moral aptitude test. He exploits and relies on undercooked, under-researched, rumors and speculations to build his case. He employs a fallacious logic in his reasoning, assumes the roles of a police, prosecutor and a judge to get his point across. He sadly absconded scientific justification for the Serengeti fires, accuses Tanzania of sabotaging the course of nature –wildebeest migration- without providing facts. Who knows, maybe Mr. Ngahu is part of Serengeti fauna.

It is despicable to term Tanzanians as barbaric, cold blooded humans demanding cash from accident victims, as if Mungiki killing squad is the friendliest in East Africa. Who is lesser evil, a man demanding cash from accident victims or he that slashes his neighbor’s throat because he belongs to another tribe? Stop planting the seeds of discord and hatred between Kenyans and Tanzanians. They have been neighbors and will continue to remain good neighbors. Tanzanians are not ready for the likes of Mungiki to run terror on their soil.

It is every government’s duty to take care of its people. The writer, however, seems to be avoiding double standard gravity of his government treating a section of Kenyans differently.  He is ignoring the fact that Kenya remains a deeply divided society living on edge; no tribe trusts the other. Some are better that others and by that I mean, you have more than 250,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) living in refugee camps within Kenya, yet a few persons get  special preferential treatment of airlift from Tanzania.

“The last time I was in Nairobi, I met a man that rated Tanzanian natural wealth and hospitality highly, he never mentioned the bara bara za gorofa au chokoraa kila kona (super highways and street kids crisis) like Ngahu would like to put it, his only wish was to immigrate to Tanzania along with his family and settle in a ten acre arable land because he was landless in Kenya. His land was snatched by some powerful men during 2007, election violence”.

Tanzania does not have a problem with the East African Federation; the problem emanates from people like Ngahu, walking around spitting venomous, boisterous, scornful, derogatory, inflammatory, and divisive seeds of hatred amongst good neighbors.  All Tanzania needs is time to study the epitome of the union. Why rush them, what is so special in the union that can’t wait? Your pressure is suspect and scary. Mr.Ngahu is aware of the economic problems in the Euro-zone. Tanzania is not going to be bullied into hurried submission; neither is it going to accept continued vilification and degradation.

So much at stake here, and would not blindly follow the crowd. If you are so much in a hurry into creating a regional colonies, you are in Somalia, bring them on board. Otherwise your unchecked, arrogance, exasperating, cheap propaganda and public utterances are likely to sabotage the integration gains. Kenya government must therefore restrain these political, historical and economic novices attack dogs from inflicting further damage.

All aside, Kindly accept our deep, heartfelt condolences for the despicable and evil acts of brutality; the horrible massacre in Tana-River between the Pokomo and Orma Tribes. May the souls that perished Rest in Eternal Peace!

  1. You are the man John Mashaka. Tell them the truth they have to clean up their dirt house before integration otherwise we will be inherenting tribalism, greedy, hypocrisy from Kenyans.

  2. Mr. John Mashaka, while you raise valid points on Mr. Ngahu's article.

Dragging the Government of Kenya into this is suspect. I fail to understand whether you are replying Mr. Ngahu or Kenyans.

Your insinuations may send a wrong message which might lead to incitement - the very thing that you seem to advocate against in your article.

That is not to say Mr. Ngahu's article was not inciteful but it makes me put you in the same category with Mr. Ngahu.

I find your article as one sided as Mr. Ngahu's.

In Mr. Ngahu's article, however ill advised it was, it was biased towards Kenya pointing ills in Tanzania and none in Kenya. On the other hand, yours is biased towards Tanzania pointing ills in Kenya and none in Tanzania.

I thought you were better than this
to stoop this low unless your anger got the better of you.

You are master at everything that you do. In Kenya we call it you are talented, your fellow tanzanians call you Genius. Your collection of lexicon jargons is similar to that of our own Kenyans Patric Lumumba and Miguna Miguna. Congratulations Mr.

While you have been polished by the Americans to be have such extra ordinary rhetorical might, do not forget your roots. The country you have torned into pieces and the people you have stripped naked are the same that trained you

If not for the Kenya finest school, and Kenyas finest teachers, Mashaka would not have been the so called Tanzanian hero. He would have remained the same damn Tanzanian.

  13. LEGACY:

OPEN LETTER TO OUR FELLOW EAST AFRICANS AND THE WORLD AT LARGE.

You Kenyans do not think thank having knowing at least well English Language is the basis of plenty of knowledge and having educated!

Like Mashaka to whom you call Talaneted rather than a Genius mind, we Tanzanians are responding to you that all of us ''WE ARE GENIUS MINDS'' as John Mashaka!!!

You Kenya and Kenyans do not make use of the Integration platform to achieve the Economic problems of your country.

Being ine the EAC integration or Federation does not implicate to be 'MR YES' for every thing.

As an emerging nation in the world we must protect our country and it's citizens interests in all aspect of their livelihood like employment protection of the Tanzania citizens.

The world is now in Global Financial and economic tragedy, while the dangerous quagmires in all countries of the world stands like FISCAL DEFICITY, BUDGET DEFICITY,MONETARY VOLATILITY backed with CURRENCY INSTABILITY with ultimate INFLATION.

There fore due to eonomic tragedy of the world that brings ECONOMIC IMBALANCE we must do the following to safe guard our economy, it's citizens, our future and prosperity as well as wealth of our nation.

1-FOLLOW THE INTEGRATION PROCESS VERY CAREFULLY.

2-WE DO NOT NEED TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS UNECESSARILY...SO WHAT???

3-WE WILL AGREE IN THOSE ASPECTS THAT CANNOT ENDANGER OUR NATION, IT'S CITIZENS AND OUR FUTURE FORTUNE.

4-BEING IN THE EAC FEDERATION DOES NOT INCALCULATE TANZANIA TO BE 'MR YES' FOR EVERY SLOGAN WITHIN THE INTEGRATION.

5-WE WILL ASSIMILATE TO EAC THINGS THAT WILL NEVER PUT US IN RISKS.

MUNGU IBARIKI AFRIKA, MUNGU IBARIKI TANZANIA!

  14. KENYANS,

You never dare to say I am intelligent than another.

You may say I am bright at least.

Biggest problems for most of Kenyans they tend to think themself that they are educated and more intelligent than all Tanzanians who are idiots !,,,somothing NOT TRUE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Kenya and Kenyans,

Knowing little English does not mean you are intelligent and most educated!

Suppose let'see Germany,France,Russsia and Japan they are not English language countries but they are most developed with most talented citizens in the world!

  16. Duh!!!!! Mshikaji ana hasira na majirani!!!!

But hey,Mashaka's anger is more than justified. I have been worked with these people for more than 4 years now, and i can attest that they are a pain in the *&###*! And by the way, much as we Tanzanians are a bit laid back and more reserved than we should be, these guys are not any better. The fact that they are more learned and allegedly intelligent is overrated! What is true is that they are more crual and unscrupulous than we are!

Coming to the East African integration, I guess I may conquer with critics who say that Tanzania is stepping on the brakes than it should be. We stand to gain from a stronger and united East Africa than we are now. We may lose in the beginning but in the long run it's a good thing. Let's go for it, as long as we put our house in order and we don't go into it as blindly as they want us to do.

    Ni hayo tu!!!!

  17. In an active economic Federation, one economy cannot solve it's problems on the top of head scalp of another economy.

If the problems is Fiscal deficity or Fiscal immbalance Kenya need to involve Tanzania to solve it's unemplyment imbalance and not to play on one side and make use of Tanzania advantage or EAC Federation advantage one sided to benefit Kenya and Kenyans.

  18. wait a minute! So Mr Nghau thinks it is ok kill someone during election or land disputes(Tan River) but not ok to kill someone who just had an accident and needed help.
Yet Mrs Mashaka thinks killing an injured person in Tanzania is our business and Tana river killings makes it even that East African are barbarics. two evils cannot justy each other, and you guys are not representing our voices, human beings, just happen to come from east africa. at least where I am in western europe, it is illegal not to help or leave unhelped an injured persosn from car accident. hivi vitendo viwilio inapaswa kukemewa, and Mr Mashaka and Nghau you are all evils! human life should be value at all costs regardles they are Okomo, chagga or makonde..guys mmekunywa pombe gani?

  19. To all Kenyans be notified from today that stop to think that all Tanzanians we are idiots or fools, now start to regard that playing with a Tanzanians is playing with an intelligent society too!!!

If the matter is EAC we need a Federation that will be beneficial for you Kenyans as well as we Tanzanians.

And not an EAC platform to benefit one side alone.

Be informed and notified from today!!!

  24. Just FYI:
The most hated foreigners and at hight risk of xenophobia attacks in south sudan are the kenyans. It is not that the locals are jealous of them or something but because of their arrogance. The ethiopians, somalis and eritrea are the big investors and ugandans have dominated petty enterpreneurship but these make their money quietly and south sudanese like them. The point is the kenyans need a change of attitude. Even the Ugandans in Uganda don't like them. Being Tanzanian Id rather work with a Ugandan than kenyan and many Ugandans would prefer to work with a Tanzanian than kenyan...theres something wrong in kenyan mentality which will lead them to the same problem nigerians are having...

We simply need to encurage them from our higher learning insitutions once their talents are seen. This is the breed that can bring true change and not sell our rights as a country. Mashaka with his mastery and language command has made us proud by writing such a well composed piece in rebuttal to the thoughless kenyans who always try to belittle Tanzania. Knowing english/crude to speak is not a guarantee that you know everything. in britain we have so many brits that cannot construct meaningful english senseteces while they speak the language every single day. 33. Lingine Mashaka umesahau,

Wakenya wana rekodi chafu sana ya usanii.

Ndio maana Frauding Officers wengi wa Mabenki Afrika wanatoka nchi zinazohesabika hapo chini ktk Afrika hasa West Africa nchi hizo ndio vinara wa usanii, wizi na kughushi ikiwemo Kenya.

    Listi ya nchi hizo:

    -Nigeria
    -Ghana
    -Senegal
    -Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
    -Togo
    -Guinea Conakry
    -Guinea Bissau
    -benin
    -Mali
    -Niger
    -Liberia
    -Cameroon
    -South Africa
    -Kenya

  36. BINTI MTANZANIA

Ni binti aliyestaarabika , mwenye urembo asilia
    Mdomo usiochongeka, amani ajivunia
    Kila anapopita, watu mimacho humtolea
    Kweli ameumbika,binti huyu Tanzania

Wengi humtolea sifa, na kutaka kumchumbia
Weupe walishawahi ‘mbaka, Kakake Julius akamtetea
Kwa nguvu akaupigania, uhuru wa Tanzania
Ni shuruba nyingi hakika, amepitia Tanzania

    Majirani wamemzonga, ndoa wanamlazimishia

Huku wapambe wakimzunguka, ahadi tele wazishusha
Hawataki ngojangoja, binti yetu kweli wamtisha
Ya kale bado yanuka, tukihoji lipi kosa?

    Masikini Tanzania, ugomvi hajazoea
    Mengi tumeyasikia, mengine anasingiziwa
    Eti kisomo kimepelea, ung’eng’e hajauelewa

Huko kwao hakukaliki, ndo hawa watushauri?
Matatizo bado lukuki, kwa nini tusisubiri?

Twacheni eneza chuki, badala ya urafiki
Na vitisho lukuki, na maneno ya ushabiki
Tofauti bado lukuki, ndoa itakuwa thabiti?

Polepole ndo mwendo, halitaki papala hili jambo
Yasije yakaenda kombo, kama ilivyotokea kitambo

    Nipeni kidogo muda, nahitaji kufikiria
    Kwa undani pambanua, ukweli kuugundua
    Taratibu nitajongea, kwenye meza ntasogea
    Faida nikizielewa, posa yenu ntapokea

Wenu mbuzi wa shuguli, mimi binti mtanzania
